Art for today…

This was a project I just finished up for my Design class. The project was to make a stamp or stencil of 2 designs showing Point and Direction. I chose guns. I cut the guns out of an Artist Carving Block. Another part of a project was to create 5 8X5 inch pallettes with the designs and make a different pattern for each sheet. I went with movies with guns to add on to the patterns. I cut stencils for each of them and used flat grey and black Rustoleum paint onto cardboard. I could’ve used to illustrator board to paint on but that would look too clean and it wouldn’t match the grimy feeling of the stencils you see on the streets. All I can say after all of this is I can’t feel my fingertips. Can you guess which movies I used???

Art for today.

This is one of my projects for my color theory class. We had to do a painting with colors that are split complimentary on the color wheel. The painting is done in gouche. I’m starting to get used to this paint brush stuff.
