Mess…
My biggest pet peeve when seeing graphic design work is paint textures. They either look fake or people are using the same brushes people find online. Here’s a tip: MAKE YOUR OWN TEXTURES! New design in the making…

OUCH!!!
So I decided to checkout Chambers Creek Park today which is a beautiful park located in Tacoma with nice trails that go through Chambers Bay Golf Course.

I decided to bring my cool Photon Skateboard with me so I could have my dog Stitch, pull me around the paved trails which he loves to do. I was having a blast skating up and down the hills. So I try to get my brother to do it and I demonstrate to him that it’s not that scary. So I’m going down this hill which is a little steeper than what I’m used to, and I’m going real fast because my board has some brand new ABEC 9 bearings that make the wheels spin faster and I’m having a blast then all of a sudden my board starts wiggling from underneath me! I don’t feel like flying off a cliff so I jump and my legs could not run as fast as I was going and I took a couple of steps and landed on my elbow and slid a couple of feet on my stomach! I was in so much pain!
Then after the park, I decided to take my son to the skate park so he can practice. It was dark so I’m skating around in my purple LED skateboard. Yeah I’ll admit, I wanted to show of the cool glow of the board. So I decided to go off the little intermediate ramps. Nothing to crazy, because I’m not a skater like my son. Then the board slips from underneath me and BAM! I land right on the same elbow!
Here is the aftermath…
It’s still throbbing and for some strange reason my hand is swollen too but I didn’t break it because I can move it just fine.
Now I have to call T-Mobile for a new phone. I can’t scroll so I have to use the voice dialer and hope the Blackberry understands me.
And my jacket.
Am I to old to be skateboarding? No. Was I stupid to be a poser and not wear protection? Yes. Will I ever do that again? You damn right! But I will wear elbow and knee pads next time!
I will overcome my fears one day to do life threating things like this…
