Figure it out on your own!

Over the weekend my forum www.pitbullforum.com was having issues due to us not updating to the latest version of PHPBB. We went from getting 2600 hits a day to 600 hits within a couple of days. And every time I tried to post something, the site would just sit there and not do a thing. We’ve always wanted to update the forum in the past but could never find a theme to match our original orange theme. I didn’t know anything about PHPBB or CSS so that also kept me from doing the update. We tried to find someone to design it for us but couldn’t afford it. So finally I got fed up and just figured it out late last night. So I redesigned the banner and took an existing theme and flipped the colors to my liking. It was a pain! But the ending result was very much satisfying since I did figure it out all on my own.pbf

R.I.P. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson.

First Ed McMahon, then Farrah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson?!?!  Why is this happening all so close?   I shouldn’t have to explain who these people are, if you don’t know who they are, then you are stuck in a world of your own and you need to get out!

My memories of these celebs growing up, Ed McmMahon: Star Search, or just waiting for him to arrive at my doorstep every year on Superbowl night with the rest of his Publisher’s Clearing House crew with a fat check.  Never happened.  Farrah Fawcett: Watched her in Charlies Angels growing up.  Michael Jackson: Man I learned how to dance because of him.  My dad used to force me dance in front of all his guests and relatives every time we had a gathering at our house when I was a kid.  I used to dance like crazy when Beat It or Bad came on television!  I still have the “Making of Thriller” and “Moonwalker” on VHS.  Is this a sad past couple of days or what?

Drake

Here’s something I just finished up due to boredom playing around on Photoshop.  Aubrey Drake Graham a.k.a. DRAKE is from Canada and started out as an actor on the show Degrassi: The Next Generation.   He also is a rapper/singer.  And yes he can really rap and he can really sing.  Stay tuned because he’s the next big thing.  (oh that rhymes, I should be a rapper!) Find his latest mixtape on the latest up to date hip hop blogs.

World of Warcraft

Check out this video of some kid freaking out because his mom cancelled his World of Warcraft account. Some people think it’s fake. Everybody knows a WOW addict. I think they really would freak out like this.  Besides wouldn’t you act that way if someone took away something you cherished most?… I did kind of act that way when I found out my son ate all the marshmallows out of my frosted Lucky Charms cereal!!!

Walk Your Dog Clothing

Well as of June 5th I got laid off from my job at a wireless company working as a contractor as a Network Operations Technician.  They needed to save some money so they got rid of our group.  So now I am part of the latest trend in the U.S. which is unemployment!  Well I’m not the type of person to be bummed, depressed, etc.  It is what it is.  I am disappointed it happened in the middle of me purchasing a home though.  But there are times in life where you run into bumps.  It’s how you deal with these issues in life that make you a stronger and smarter person.  So in the meantime I will continue to do what I do which is grind and apply for other opportunities.  I know to many people that are unemployed or just finished school that aren’t even looking that hard for a job and are expecting for the opportunity to come to them.  Sorry bud life doesn’t work that way!  You gotta know what you want and go for it!

Well as you can tell from my design, photography, blogs, etc.  I’m crazy about dogs. I’m not ashamed to express that.  Besides there is not one person that I have met that can show me loyalty, determination, and courage like a true working dog can.  Also I’ve always been known as the dog man since I co-own www.PitBullForum.com.  I’ve also always wanted to start my own brand of clothing.  But after visiting the Magic Tradeshow in Las Vegas, my mind definitely changed.  I seen that the so called “Urban Streetwear” was very, very, VERY, saturated.  I also don’t have a team to help me compete with a lot of these brands.  So I said the heck with it, I’m going to start up a brand focused on fashion conscious people who love dogs.  So I’ve came up with a brand called “Walk Your Dog Clothing.” I don’t have any designs out as of yet, but I will have some soon. I just decided to make the site live so people can see the steps of starting a brand from the beginning.  So I guess we’ll see how that goes.

In the meantime checkout the new splash pages I did playing with lighting effects in Photoshop.  Search “lighting effects photoshop tutorial” to learn different ways to create this effect.

I also decided to do the same effect to the intro to my www.PitBullForum.com website too.

Manny Pacquiao T- Shirts

I’ve been receiving a bunch of emails of people asking about my past Pacquiao shirts I designed…

Pacquiao 1.0

Pacquiao 2.0

I am very sorry to tell you that I am sold out.  Pacquiao 2.0 was only printed to a limited run of 206 shirts.  They sold out within a week they were released.  I am not printing anymore.  I am currently working on a newer version.  I have named it “The Celebration Tee.” You’re probably wondering why I gave this shirt this name.  Well I will say this.  This shirt will have a very unique feature that will seperate itself from most shirts ever designed and I am not just talking about Pacquiao tees.

If you have bought a shirt from me before, you have been added to my email list of fans that want my next shirt.  If you would like to be on that list, feel free to email me, and I will gladly add you on it.  Or if you’re to lazy to click the “Contact” link in the upper right hand side of this window and email me, just stay up to date by checking my blog every now and then.  Oh and I will have womens tees this time!
